Teressa's Grief

Imprisoned in a cottage out in the forest, Teressa wondered what the rogues would do with her and her little son, Aldway. She had a look at the front door, and seizing the opportunity that the guards were inattentive, sprinted as hard as she could in an attempt to scape and look for her child. But this desperate effort was not quite effective, for even a delayed reaction by the guards was enough to stop her. They kept her in her assigned place, this time with chains putting her hands together.

A man entered the cottage, saluted with great respect by the guards. Teressa raised her face and saw him, feeling a mix of fear and anger. "Take me out of here. Give me my son back." She cried out before bursting into tears. The man, Mighty Dagger, as he was nicknamed, gently touched her chin and raised her face. He noticed she was as beautiful as a columbines, which moved his heart. "Would you like to see your son?" He asked. "Yes, please. Let me see him." She answered in tears.

Dagger made coming to see the prisoner a habit. He shared his life story and worldview with her. Teressa could not help but feel a deep repulsion towards the man responsible for his husband's death and her imprisonment. At first, she was tempted to shout all kinds of insults to the despicable man, but she contained herself. Dagger was everything, but naïve. He actually appreciated her not condemning him.

Teressa came to know that Aldway was being trained to be a loyal member of The Sinister Horde. She felt so incensed... In the darkest night, she could not get to sleep until weeping depleted her strengths. The nightmare was just starting.
