This story proposes the end of the world with mutations, and a race that comes to rescue us (or probably to enslave us, because it is most likely that we are intellectually and technologically inferior to them) to take over the planet, and this time, make the things well.
No one knows for sure what will come in the future....
For my part, I consider it an "empty" idea that an extraterrestrial species will "save" us, that something outside ourselves will guide and instruct us.
It seems to me comparable to religions, the practising of which tempts us to hand over all responsibility to the respective god of trust....
I rather think that instead of coming to help us, they are going to seize us.
If you study the patterns of nature, you will realize that the most intelligent species always keep the inferior ones in submission, so it is something "natural".
As humans I think it would be very arrogant to think that we are the most intelligent in the entire universe, as well as that we are the only ones.
So we are exposed to being bullied from the weisser world in the Dream galaxy (it's just a joke, don't take it personal =D )
