Panic

Some situations just leave us aghast!
Our immediate reaction is fear at full blast!
This is the fear we know of as panic.
It drives us to act as if we are manic!
We go into panic, when we have no clue
of why we're afraid, or what we must do!
It's dark in the ally, but go there I must.
Chills down my spine. There's no one to trust!
Embodying fear...with goosebumps I start...
the loud drumming I hear is the beat of my heart!
I start losing water through pores in my skin.
I start moving faster, but know I can't win.
This race towards safety just adds to my daze.
I know there's no hope. My fear is ablaze!
If I run faster, I'll endanger my life.
My intake of air already cuts like a knife!
I have to run faster. There's breath on my neck!
My panic is growing! An emotional wreck!
I find myself tapping my emergency stash
of the energy I need to run like the Flash!
It didn't work out, as I had intended.
To my disappointment my fall was most splendid!
My face was a mess! My body just hurt.
The gash on my leg let my blood squirt!
I heard someone coming and just lost my mind.
I couldn't help thinking, "They come from behind!".
I knew I would now die. I had no more doubt.
My Panic too much! I must have passed out.
I hear a kind voice just as I return.
No safety in panic, is what I did learn.
Has capturado de forma magistral en tu escrito la experiencia del pánico. Ha sido un placer leer tu poema. Saludos.
