Stop being an emotional punching Bag!!!
Refuse to be an emotional punching Bag.
First of, I think it’s important to lay a foundation that being an emotional punching bag doesn’t happen overnight. It starts from is loosing ourselves in the shadow of another person. A toxic person!
You must refuse to be an emotional punching bag to the insensitive people around you. You must own yourself and your strength. Being able to love yourself and accept that you’re deserving of all the love and affection just like everyone else. The sooner you accept this, the earlier and easier it will be for you to give up and let go of relationships that drain you, take advantage of you or leave you feeling less of yourself each time.
How to know if you’re an emotional punching bag.
• You realise you’re the one doing a lot more(unequal amount) of the work in your relationship.
• You always have to take in your partner’s extreme mood swings while leaving yourself empty and drained.
• When you start taking in all the hurts and abuses that were always against your beliefs and ideologies.
Before I end this, I’d like to note that it’s very important to own your emotions and feelings. That’s the only way to free yourself from being an emotional punching bag. Let go of everyone or everything that makes you feel lesser than you are. Trust me, your life and mental health will be better for it.
