Computer Programming Using Object Oriented Basic

INTRODUCTION
Writing a computer program can be liked to writing a recipe for making a food dish. Each statement indicates how the ingredient is to be added and at the end, the food is ready for eating, whereas each statement in order to produce the result. There fore, note the following.

1. A Computer is a programming machine. This means it can execute a programmed list of instructions and respond to new instructions that it is given.

2. Computer Programming is the process of developing and implementing various sets of instructions to enable a computer to do a certain task.

3. Programs are written to solve problems or perform two on a computer.

4. Programmers are trained professional that translate the solutions or tasks into a language the computer can understand.

5. As we write computer programs, we must keep in mind that the computer is a machine with no intelligence and will only do what we instruct it to do. Because of this, we must be very careful and thorough with our instructions.

WHAT IS BASIC ?
Basic stands for Beginners All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. The language was developed in 1964 at Dartmouth College, USA by Professor John Kemeny and Thomas Kurtz, as a means of teaching students a simple language for programming a computer.

The difference Between Basic Object Oriented and Procedural Programming

Visual Basic Programming
Visual Basic programming is a third generation event driven programming language first released by Microsoft in 1991. It evolved from the earlier DOS version called BASIC. Since then Microsoft has released many versions. Visual Basic is a user-friendly programming language designed for beginners, and it enables anyone to develop Graphical Users Interface (GUI) windows applications easily.

In Visual Basic 6, you can create any program depending on your objective. For Math teachers, you can create Mathematical programs such as Geometric Progression, Quadratic Equation solver, Simultaneous Equation Solver, Prime Number Tester, Factors Finder, Quadratic Function Graph Plotter and so on.
