Hello friends of the Steem community.

This time I want to share with you all some tips on how to make a publication of STEM content (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) within the HeartStem community, especially taking into account that since the presentation post of the team of users that make up the subcommunity of "steemians/hiveans"-Venezuela, one of the aspects that as a contribution we promised to the community leader @churchangel is to clarify some doubts about how to make a quality publication oriented to Stem content within the HeartStem community.

It is important that users can make their quality publications and giving an appropriate aesthetic to the post, because the better the posts are the more we will raise the reputation of the Heart Stem community.

Introduction

I want to start this post by making you reflect on certain aspects that are essential to develop a post related to Stem content, the first important thing is that each user focuses on determining if you are a blogger who is taking his first steps, or if on the contrary is a blogger with some experience when generating content.

If you are a user who has many doubts about different aspects in the development of a post because you consider yourself new in this world of blogging, then let me tell you that this is a publication oriented for you.

If, on the other hand, you are a user who has no doubts and who masters many of the basic principles to be able to generate STEM content within this distinguished community, then let me tell you that this post is also oriented for you, since what we are looking for is that the interaction between all the members involved is a feedback, If you have any tips that contribute to the learning of those who for some reason or another have any doubts about how to make a Stem content post, I would be very grateful if you could give me your views, advice and perspective on this topic that will surely help the entire ecosystem in general.

What is Stem content and what topics can I upload in my publications?

Stem content is the one that is generated fully oriented to discuss topics related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

In what is related to science I think it is the broadest and most complete part where any blogger can give their best contributions, since there are contributions related to pure areas such as physics, chemistry and biology, not to mention that there are professionals such as doctors, environmental nurses, among many other professionals, can give their contributions in science, since many of their knowledge have implicit part of the knowledge related to physics, chemistry, biology and other branches.

Technology is closely linked to science, since every discovery made that contributes to a better quality of life is achieved because science finishes giving its great contributions so that technology today takes its leading role, are cutting-edge issues such as those that users can explain in new technology oriented to the technological application of computers, computers, cell phone systems, automobiles, satellites, internet, digitization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, among other topics that are very exciting because they are of everyday use today by all of us.

In the area of engineering is undoubtedly where the ingenuity of many of us is tested, and I say us because they are petroleum engineers and as many have been able to notice is where my greatest content is directed, ie the area of petroleum engineering, however if you are a mechanical engineer, civil engineer, computer engineer, chemical engineer, geodesic engineer, geological engineer, electrical engineer, in short if you are a professional in any engineering is very conducive to teach us your knowledge in the area of engineering. You don't have to be a professional in the engineering area to share your publications with us, simply if you are passionate about engineering tell us your experiences and anecdotes related to engineering.

As far as mathematics is concerned I think it is the mother of all other branches, since there is no topic in the area of science that does not require some mathematical knowledge, indeed in all aspects of our life mathematics is involved, for example in my case apart from dominating the content related to engineering also dominated the area of infinitesimal calculus where he touched topics related to functions, limit and continuity of a real function, derivatives and integrals of real functions, differential equations, among other topics.

In conclusion, as you have seen, the Stem area is very wide and varied, so I think that with any of the different ones mentioned above you will be able to feel comfortable in the company of other users that make up the HeartStem community.

What structure would be recommended for a STEM content post?

This is a point that is very personal and depends on the perspective of each user, but in particular I think that the Stem content is something that deserves all our respect, it is very good that we do not underestimate our post referred to Stem, therefore it is important to have as a main base a structure as such, all with the aim that the reader has a defined structure to read and understand our content.

In consideration of the above, my advice is to consider the following structure:

Introduction: depending on the topic to be addressed, it is always pleasant for the reader to be told about the important topics to be addressed in the post, so a brief introduction is very important to be taken into account in the structure of our Stem post.

Addressing the topic to be addressed: if the points to be addressed are already clear, especially those that have already been mentioned in the introduction, then it only remains to give the reader the development and explanation of those points that were mentioned in the introduction and of which the reader already has a previous information that will allow him to understand very well while reading.

It is important that this part is given a unique approach, and that although perhaps the subject matter being discussed is already in books or on the web, so it is advisable that we try to bring that content to a plane of debate where our own ideas predominate, since as many already know, in steemit we are rewarded for generating valuable, unpublished and quality content, where for nothing in the world is tolerable plagiarism.

Conclusions: Depending on the topic it is important to write one or more conclusions of the topic covered, because if the reader did not understand part of the topic covered can read the conclusion part and understand what was the message that the author wanted to convey the content explaining the subject that is explaining as such.

Bibliography and/or references consulted: it is important to be honest in our work, so if we have used a web link of a topic to help in the development of the publication we must mention that link and explain specifically where we got part of that information, likewise specify a bibliographic source, if we want to use a quote we must simply place the symbol > (greater than) followed by the text that we are taking exactly from a book or web link. The denotation of all this will help us not to fall into plagiarism and at the same time help the curators to facilitate the work of reading.

Should I give a sense of aesthetics to my posts and how can I do it?

Logically if we have already complied with all the above mentioned there is something that can not escape us, which is nothing more than the aesthetic sense of our post, this is something in which some users stand out very well and make your post look very well aesthetically, however if you are a user who does not know how to justify text, center text and images, place your titles with a larger font, among other things that make our post look aesthetic, do not worry I will explain the basics below:

Justification of the post: simply at the beginning of your post you place the following:

It then closes at the end of the post with the following:

Center the text:

Place the image source: place the word image source in brackets, then place the web link where the image is being taken from inside brackets, as follows:

It is important to emphasize that if you are going to post an image that is not your own, then the images that are posted are copyrighted, which is why I recommend that you visit the following Pixabay Website where you will find images that are in the public domain.

  • How to write our titles in large print?

To do this simply place ### in front of the text of our title, the larger you want the letter you leave only one #, the smaller you want the letter then place more ###.

These are just some practical tips to improve the aesthetics of the posts, my recommendation is that if you want to learn more, you can review and read the steemit's practical guide to markdown where everything is explained in detail and where you can expand other aspects that improve the aesthetics of our posts.

Conclusion

Most likely I have missed some considerations, however these are some very personal basic considerations that I am sharing with the entire HeartStem community to guide many of the new members to improve the post and to take into account certain factors that help us to be clearer on how to prepare a post of Stem content.

I hope this publication is useful and you can continue contributing with the topics of your preference, greetings and until a new delivery, your friend @carlos84 says goodbye.
