I will take you on a journey into my past and we will visit many places in Greece together. I lived in Greece for 16 years until the end of 2020 and was able to take many beautiful pictures there.
I will always attempt to post the exact Google Map link to where the picture taken.This way, you can also see on the map page exactly where we were when the picture taken.
It looks like I will be lucky enough to live in Greece again in May. Then I will also publish current pictures.

Visit to the stalactite cave at Pyrgos Dirou
On our first tour around the Peloponnese, we also visited the stalactite cave at Pyrgos Dirou, which is open to tourists. It is the longest cave in Greece, with a length of 15 kilometres explored so far. You can take guided boat tours underground in a small part of it. The cave is truly deceptively deep, reaching over 70 metres. The stalactites there go almost to the bottom.
This tour was really an experience for the first time. Especially Junior had a lot of fun. There is also a small museum on the premises where prehistoric finds from the cave are exhibited. We were in the area several times in the following years. Nearby, overlooking the cave, is the so-called Dinosaur Egg Beach. We have stayed at this beach for years with our Ami van or the last time 6 years ago with our Movano on our tour on the Peloponnese. There will also be a separate article about this beach :)
There are also other caves in the area that are not open to tourists. We visited all of them. Some of the way there was quite adventurous. You had to walk on unpaved paths through the wilderness or, in the case of one cave, you even had to climb down cliffs to get to the entrance of the cave. The tours were always very adventurous and I remember them fondly.
Since I know that the posts in the Steem Blockchain will be there until the end of days as long as a node is still online. But no matter where you host the images, they will disappear one day. So I thought about creating a little tool myself that saves the post including all the images as an HTML file or as a PDF. This is not really a big deal, because the corresponding options are already integrated in almost every browser or you can download them as an additional printer driver - Print to PDF - !
this year we also discovered geocaching for ourselves - so we were involved quite early :)

Ich werde Sie auf eine Reise in meine Vergangenheit mitnehmen und wir werden gemeinsam viele Orte in Griechenland besuchen. Ich habe 16 Jahre lang bis Ende 2020 in Griechenland gelebt und konnte dort viele schöne Bilder machen.
Ich werde immer versuchen, den genauen Google Map Link zum Aufnahmeort zu posten, so dass Sie auch auf der Kartenseite genau sehen können, wo wir waren, als das Bild aufgenommen wurde.
So wie es aussieht, werde ich im Mai wieder das Glück haben, in Griechenland zu leben. Dann werde ich auch aktuelle Bilder veröffentlichen.
Ich wünsche Ihnen viel Spaß bei der Reise durch Griechenland, bei der ich Sie gerne jeden Tag ein bisschen mitnehmen werde.
Besuch der Tropfsteinhöhle bei Pyrgos Dirou
Auf unserer ersten Peloponnes Umrundung besuchten wir auch die touristisch erschlossene Tropfsteinhöhle bei Pyrgos Dirou. Sie ist die längste Höhe in Griechenland, mit ihrer Länger von bisher erkundeten 15 Kilometer. Man kann in ihr in einem kleinen Teil geführte Bootstouren unter der Erde machen. Die Höhle ist wirklich trügerisch tief mit bis über 70 Meter. Die dortigen Stalaktiten gehen bis fast an den Grund.
Diese Tour war das erste Mal wirklich ein Erlebnis. Vor allem Junior hatte recht viel Spaß dabei. Auf dem Gelände gibt es auch ein kleines Museum, in dem prähistorische Funde aus der Höhle ausgestellt werden. In der Gegend waren wir in den darauffolgenden Jahren öfters. Ganz in der Nähe, mit Blick auf das Gelände der Höhle, gibt es den sogenannten Dinosaurier Eier Strand. An den Strand haben wir eigen Jahren, mit unseren Ami Van oder auch das letzte Mal vor 6 Jahren, mit unserem Movano auf unserer Tour auf dem Peloponnes übernachtetet. Auch zu diesem Strand wird es einen eigenen Beitrag geben :)
Auch gibt es dort in der Gegend weitere Höhlen die Touristisch nicht erschlossen sind. Wir haben uns alle angeschaut. Zum Teil war der Weg dort hin recht abenteuerlich. Man musste unbefestigte Pfade durch die Wildnis gehen oder bei einer Höhle musste man sogar Klippen herabsteigen, um die zu dem Eingang der Höhle zu gelangen. Die touren waren wirklich immer sehr abenteuerlich und ich erinner mich gerne daran.
Da ich ja weiß, dass die Beiträge in der Steem Blockchain bis ans Ende der Tage vorhanden sein wird wie noch eine Node online ist. Aber die Bilder egal wo man sie hostet eines Tages verschwunden sein werden habe ich mir überlegt, ein kleines Tool selbst zu erstellen, der den Beitrag inklusive aller Bilder als HTML Datei oder als PDF speichert. Das ist eher kein großes Ding, denn die entsprechenden Optionen sind in fast jeden Browser schon integriert oder man lädt sie als zusätzlichen Druckertreiber - Print to PDF -
in diesem Jahr haben wir auch das Geocaching für uns entdeckt - wir waren also schon recht früh mit dabei :)
