Hello everyone I hope you are all doing great and enjoying your life. I am a tuition teacher and I teach 30 wonderful student. In today world video game are very popular and most of my students love playing them. This week I decided to ask some of my student about their favorite video games. I also recorded an fun video of them talking about the games and I will share it at the end of this posts.

I selected four student to ask questions about their favorite games and they all had different answers. Let me share their experiences the advantages and disadvantages of the games they play and my own thoughts after playing these game with them.

Student 1: Prince Huzafa (8 years old)

Favorite Game: Roblox

How He Plays: Prince loves playing Roblox on his PC. He has two Robux in his account and he spended them to buy different equipment and item for the game.

Advantages of Roblox:

• Roblox helps children be creative by allowing them to build their own games and world.
• It improves thinking skills because player need to solve problems and make decision.
• Players can make friends and improve their communication skill through online interaction.

Disadvantages of Roblox:

• Spending too much time on the game can distract children from studies.
• In-app purchases can lead to overspending real money.
• Sometimes online player may say or do inappropriate thing.

Suitability: Roblox is a fun and creative game and it is suitable for an 8 year old like Prince. However parent should monitor his gameplay time and spending to ensure it stay healthy.

Experience:
I played Roblox with Prince and it was so much fun! The best part was building and exploring creative world together. It was exciting to see how imaginative the game could be. However I did not like that the game encourages spending money so easily Which might not be good for children.

Student 2: Rafay (13 years old)

Favorite Games: Roblox and PUBG

How He Plays: Rafay enjoys Roblox for its creativity but also love PUBG because of its thrilling battles.

Advantages of PUBG:

• PUBG helps players think quickly and make strategies to win.
• It improved coordination and reaction time because of the fast gameplay.
• Playing in teams helps players learn teamwork and communication.

Disadvantages of PUBG:

• The game has a lot of violence which may affect how children think and behave.
• Spending too much time on PUBG can harm studies and personal relationships.
• The games can be very addictive making it hards to stop playing.

Suitability: PUBG is not suitable for a 13 Year old like Rafay because of it violent content and a very addictive nature. Roblox is an much better choice for him but even that should be played in moderation.

Experience:
Playing PUBG with Rafay was exciting especially when we worked as a team to survive. The best moment was planning strategies together and winning a match. However I felt uncomfortable with the violence in the game which I think is not healthy for young minds.

Student 3: Haris (12 years old)

Favorite Game: Free Fire

How He Plays: Haris plays Free Fire on his tablet and has reached level 72 which show he spends a lot of time playing.

Advantages of Free Fire:

• The game helps players improve their decision making skills and quick thinking.
• It teaches strategy and planning to win matches.
• Multiplayer mode allows players to work in team and build friendships.

Disadvantages of Free Fire:

• Excessive playing can cause health problems like eye strain and poor posture.
• The violent nature of the game may negatively impact children behavior.
• Spending too much time on the game can affect studies and family time.

Suitability: At 12 Haris is too young for a game like Free Fire. He is playing it so much that it has started affecting his eyesight and he now wears glasses. Parents should limit his screen time for his health and well being.

Experience:
Playing Free Fire with Haris was both fun and challenging. The best part was the intense battle especially when we worked together to defeat enemies. However I notice that the game is very addictive and the violent content is not good for kids.

Student 4: Pahlaj (8 years old)

Favorite Game: Free Fire

How He Plays: Pahlaj plays Free Fire on his mobile phone.

Suitability: Free Fire is not at all suitable for an 8-year-old like Pahlaj. The violence and addictive nature of the game are harmful for children of his age. Parents should guide him toward age-appropriate games.

Experience:
Playing Free Fire with Pahlaj was interesting because he was very good at the game despite being so young. The most enjoyable moment was completing a mission together. However I felt that the violent and competitive nature of the game was not suitable for him and I think he should try other games instead.

This activity helped me understand the gaming habits of my student and how these game affect them. while video games can be fun and improve certain skills they can also have negative effects if not played responsibly. Its important to guide children toward age appropriate games and ensure they don not spend too much time playing.
