SEC-S18W6 - Shining with your own light

AOA, dear friends! I hope you're all in good spirits, blessed by Allah's grace. I'm doing well, how about you people ?

Today, I am excited to join the this wonderful contest of "SEC- Season 18" thanks to community team for organizing such an awesome contest.

Now, let's get this started, shall we?

Absolutely, there are moments when my brightness deserves the limelight. What do you think it feels like to be grilled during a karaoke night and hit an elusive song? These are the moments when we all feel our efforts have earned attention or that our unique skills do have relevance. It is like being the star player in some crucial game—whatever you have been training hard for, and now it is your time to score the winning goal.

But, of course, one has to remember that everybody has their moments. I mean, it's like a beautiful firework display: every color burst beautiful in itself, but together, even more so. Knowing when to step up, knowing when to share the stage, just sets up a symmetrical relationship in that environment where everyone's brightness can be appreciated.

Yes, I will definitely dim my light a little so somebody else can shine. Think of it like being on stage during a duet: when your partner is hitting their big solo, you wouldn't want to steal their thunder with some impromptu tap dance. In allowing others a moment in the sun, you create an environment of support and camaderie.

It's like running a relay race; at times, winning is about passing the baton at the appropriate time.

It may be something as simple as encouraging words or stepping back to allow others to take the reins on a project. Not only will this foster closer working relationships, but it will also create an environment of mutual support, where every individual feels both valued and empowered. Plus, there's a special kind of joy that comes from knowing you've helped someone else shine brightly.

Well, much like the Hawaiian squid, I have had help about how I shine brighter. Whether it was that teacher who saw my potential and gave me just that little extra encouragement, or some friend who kept pushing me to do something new, they got to be my personal glow-boosters. They're the batteries of my flashlight, keeping me bright when my own energy goes dim for Low.

Indeed, they have been instrumental in my growth and success as a person by making sure I always had support and many wise words.

We all have those people in our lives who lighten up the day, making our way clear and our loads light. Think of them as personal cheerleaders cheering in the corner for you. Maybe they won't sparkle or shake their pompoms, but their effect is just dazzling. They are the ones who, by their encouragement and guidance, turned me into the person I am today.

Fireflies light up in the dark, winking at their loved one; our personal qualities and virtues do the same, to entice someone special.

If people are drawn to that special person, isn't that because your light amid the ocean of faces was what they saw? It is kind of fulfilling when you have a share in life with that special person who wouldn't mind your light.

If, however, you still glow in the dark to find that perfect somebody, do not lose hope. Keep shining, as eventually your light is going to guide the right person to you. The idea here is that of a beacon—steadfast, true, guiding the ships safely to shore.
