Share Your 3 Flower Photography || Week-02 ||

Hi steemians, here are some photographs taken by me.

1. Queen of the night
   
   This photo was taken a few years ago. The scientific name of this flower is Epiphyllum oxypetalum. We have 2 varieties of this plant in our garden. This flower blooms at mid night and lasts only for few hours. I remember in my childhood we didn't sleep untill midnight because we loved to see how this flower blooms.

2. Lotus
   
   This is also an old photo. Mainly we use this flower to offer Buddha. There is a pink variety and also a white variety. In Sri lanka we commonly see people selling these flowers near temples. This is an aquatic plant. Other than the flower we use the stem of this plant as a food.

3. Vihara idda
   
   I don't know what is the name of this flower in english or it's scientific name. In Sri Lanka we call it as vihara idda. The flower blooms at night and stays for few days. It blooms in white colour and later it becomes yellow colour.
