Weekend Contest First Edition : Nomination from @sampu : My weekend 09-11 July 2021 - @steem.amal 50%
After the lockdown is partially withdrawn and inter-state travel is allowed, we decided that we will be having a short trip to the hills on 09-11 July. But before traveling all of us completed our vaccination.
We meet at Sealdah railway station on 08 July at 10pm after office. We were 6 persons in the group - Ambar, Aryadeep, Debasree, Kathakali, Sujaya and me Sampat.

We had our reservation in "Sealdah - New Alipurduar Padatik Express" scheduled to depart at 23:30.
Inside the train
We reached New Jalpaiguri on 09 July at 9am and hired a car to Kalimpong after breakfast. We reached the hill town Kalimpong at 1pm and checked in at Hill top tourist lodge. After the lunch we had a walk in nearby area and spent the evening by showing our talent - Kathakali sing a song first, then Aryadeep recited a poem, Debasree sing a song, Ambar told a travel story, Sujaya sing a song, and finally I told a horror story.

Next day, we sent our luggage to our next destination - Morgan House by car and decided to walk as the weather was pleasent. It took 1hr to walk the 1.6km distance between Hill top tourist lodge and Morgan House. Morgan House was a heritage british bunglow currently maintained by West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation.

We spend the evening by a hike to Durpindara view-point and then having a coffee in a coffee shop managed by the Army opposite to Morgan House.

Me and Ambar wake-up early as we couldn't miss the football match between Brazil and Argentina the next day although it was Sunday. We checked out from Morgan House and hired a car to drop us Pine View Nursery at Kalimpong city. There we spent some time, bought some cactus and orchid to gift our friends at Kolkata and then reserved a car to drop us at New Jalpaiguri railway station with a heavy heart as the trip ended.

Our reservation was at "New Jalpaiguri - Sealdah Darjeeling Mail" which departed at 20:05 and we reached Kolkata at 7am next morning.
