วัดป่าหมากเป็นวัดของหมู่บ้าน
ในบริเวณวัดมีโรงเรียนอยู่ที่นี้ด้วย วัดและโรงเรียนแห่งนี้อยู่ใกล้แม่น้ำตรัง แล้วมีต้นไม้ต้นใหญ่ๆมาก หลายต้น วันนี้ผมขับรถออกไปทำธุระข้างนอก เพราะต้องเอาการบ้านลูกไปส่งที่โรงเรียนครับ ขับรถผ่านวัด บริเวณหลังวัด เก็บภาพ ซึ่งมีเมรุที่กำลังก่อสร้าง ที่กำลังก่อสร้างใกล้เสร็จ มีทั้งเมรุอันเก่าและเมรุที่กำลังสร้างใหม่ ส่วนเมรุอันเก่านั้นเป็นการเผาแบบโบราณ การใช้ไม้ฟืนและใช้ถ่านเป็นเชื้อเพลิง รวมถึงน้ำมันด้วยครับ ที่เป็นเชื้อเพลิงหลัก ถึงเวลาตอนนี้เปลี่ยนระบบ เตาเผา เป็นพลังงานทดแทน อัพเดทเวอร์ชั่นเป็นระบบแก๊สโดยเปลี่ยนมาเป็นใช้ระบบเตาเผาปลอดสารพิษที่เป็นระบบจากใช้น้ำมัน
แม่น้ำตรัง เป็น เป็นแม่น้ำสายสำคัญของตรัง ในบริเวณ ริมแม่น้ำ ในช่วงเช้าและช่วงเย็นก็จะมีเด็กๆมาตกปลาที่สะพานครับ เป็นฟุตบาท ตอนเย็นอากาศไม่ร้อน พาครอบครัวมาออกกำลังกายได้ครับ ตอนเย็นบรรยากาศดีมากครับเดี๋ยวนี้ ในหมู่บ้านริมแม่น้ำตรังเป็นที่เป็นที่พักผ่อน ตกเย็น มีเด็กๆมาเล่นสเก็ตบอร์ดกันเยอะครับแถวนี้
วัดโรงเรียนและแม่น้ำอยู่ใกล้กัน ตอนนี้ชุมชนในหมู่บ้านมีการพัฒนา ปรับปรุงซ่อมแซม เพื่อความเจริญเพิ่มขึ้นครับ
คิดถึงสมัยเด็กๆแถวๆนี้ หลังวัด มีต้นไฝ่ รวมถึงต้นไม้ใหญ่ๆขึ้นปกคลุมถนนสมัยนั้นรถราก็ไม่เยอะครับทำให้บรรยากาศวังเวงน่ากลัว
เมื่อสมัยก่อนผม เดินไปโรงเรียน เพราะที่บ้านไม่มีรถ ต้องอาศัยการเดินไปโรงเรียน ไปกลับกับน้องๆทุกวันครับ โรงเรียนเลิก ก็ต้องรีบกลับ กลับมืดก็ไม่ได้ เพราะครัวบริเวณหลังวัด ตอนนี้เจริญมากแล้วครับไม่เหมือนสมัยก่อน ตอนนี้กลายเป็นที่ท่องเที่ยวของหมู่บ้านไปแล้วครับ
