#Club100 | The Diary Game Season 3 (03-13-2022) | Taking Matti to Tubigon Town Plaza

On Sunday, we decided to travel back to Cebu City because we will be visiting the in-laws in Oslob in the next two weeks. Due to the damaged ship in Loon, we now have no option but to travel to Oslob via Cebu City, before, we had the option to go via Loon to Argao.

So we headed to Tubigon which was two hours land trip from our town, we started our trip at 1:30 PM and reached Tubigon at 3:30 PM. After going through the ticketing process, we took Matti to the nearby plaza, Tubigon Town Plaza which was just opposite the cultural center where the ticketing office of Fastcat shipping is located.

Matti was excited to get to the plaza. It was my idea while I waited for our McDonalds order for takeaway so we can have dinner while in the boat. And so my husband was just holding Matti by the hand but he wanted to get away so we just let him walk around by himself.

Kids at this age indeed want freedom, Matti was no exception. He was not wearing any face mask at all because he is not comfortable and I am glad that the police officers nearby were okay with it. After all, he's just a child. Matti went from walking to running really fast! I was watching him from the distance and I am glad that this child of mine is able to see different places now and is also able to appreciate things around him.

The husband was going after Matti and so I took that opportunity to take photos of the surrounding. This is a public plaza, just like any other town in Bohol and other provinces, plazas surely is a place where the locals can sit around, and relax.

A statue is located at the center of the plaza but I didn't bother checking who it was. Usually, the figure is someone who is significant to the town or a national hero. It doesn't look like Jose Rizal, our national hero, so it might be someone else, perhaps, a past president?

This area here is a crossroad going to the port, then there's also a road going to the market, going out of the market, and going back to town. Opposite the plaza is some establishments, there are also eateries around, I spotted Dunkin Donut at the other side while facing this was McDonald's where I bought our dinner. Also, there are pasalubong items all over the place, visitors and travelers will have a hard time picking which stall should buy pasalubong such as calamay.

A playground is also available in the plaza where kids can play and enjoy some seesaw, slides, and swings. I am reminded of the tire playground that we have back in Guindulman. I am glad that the typhoon didn't destroy the playground area. A gazebo is also available here.

During our quick visit, there were a few locals sitting around the benches and the streets were busy with passengers and travelers getting their tickets as it was a Sunday, it was time for people to go back to the city and work again.

After this, we headed to the car which was parked at the parking space nearby the ticketing offices and we headed straight to the port, we were ready to go back to Cebu!
