Crafty Content: Recycling Plastic Water Bottles Is Possible
Hi dear Steemians
Crafty Content
Recently, I saw trashes of plastic water bottles everywhere. I drink water from it and throwing it in the trashcan after using.
But I am thinking, what would happen if we keep on using these plastics and throw it after using? We all know that plastics will decay for a long time and it takes more long time to decompose.
A million plastic bottles are bought around the world every minute.

We need to find ways to help Mother Earth. In our own ways, how can we minimize garbages around us? So,here's my own way to help as a teacher:
In an "Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga" values subject in our grade 1 pupils deals on how to recycle things. As part of the 3rd quarter test, I was thinking for an application on how they recycled a plastic water bottle into a useful material. Today, I wanna share to you how artistic are my grade 1 pupils with the aid of their parents.
1. Artificial flower
Instead of buying more artificial flowers at home, we can use empty plastic water bottle to have a colorful house decoration. Aside from helping minimizing garbage, we can also save our budget consumed for house decoration.
2. lampshade
Perfect for our bedrooms. Just put a 15-watts bulb in the middle of the bottle and we can now have a lampshade.
3. plant pot
Perfect for a plant-lover like me. I like the style and color. I did contribute both in minimizing plastic and propagating more plants at home.
4. succulent pot
Colorful pot for our little succulent. Just put little holes at the bottom for the water to sink.
5. pencil can
Colorful pencil cans made from plastic water bottles and possible turning into something for pens and pencils.
6. pencil bag
This is an art of a grade 1 pupil. What makes me think that this is a bag because of the zipper. Really amazing.
There are more plastic in the whole world. Observe the things that we buy, can we make something useful after it has been used?
There are still more arts using plastic water bottles. But for now, these are some of the artistic projects from my pupils.
Thanks to the parents who helped and adjusting in this new normal education inspite of what we experienced globally. They are indeed the first teacher of our children today.
Thank you @steemsea @steem.sea for this opportunity that I can share to the whole world the outputs of my pupils. There are still more stories that I can impart in this community. But as of now, let me end my story here. Until then.
This has been @jes88, at your service.
It is great that we are able to teach our students about recycling. Big thing to do to save mother earth. Great Job!
Yes mam. Indeed. thank you
