Ahead of Idul Adha, Forkopimda Bireuen Checks Prices of Basic Materials.

Ahead of the Eid al-Adha holiday, the Bireuen Police together with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) conducted a price survey of basic commodities in various traditional markets in the Bireuen area.

This activity aims to ensure price stability and availability of basic commodities and prevent unreasonable price increases.

From a written statement sent by Public Relations of the Aceh Regional Police, Sunday (9/6/2024), this survey involved direct inspections of various traders to monitor the prices of important goods such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, meat and other food ingredients.

This step was taken to provide a real picture of market conditions and become a basis for the authorities in taking appropriate policies to maintain stability in prices of basic commodities.

Bireuen Police Chief, AKBP Jatmiko, said that this activity was part of an effort to ensure that people could fulfill their basic needs at affordable prices, especially ahead of religious holidays such as Eid al-Adha.

"We want to ensure that prices of basic commodities remain stable and affordable for the public, so that they can celebrate Eid al-Adha calmly and happily," said the Police Chief.

Apart from that, Forkopimda also invites all related parties to work together to maintain price stability and ensure the distribution of basic commodities runs smoothly. They appealed to traders not to increase prices unreasonably and to always provide sufficient stock to meet people's needs.

In the survey, it was found that most basic commodity prices were still within normal limits, although there were several commodities that experienced slight increases.

The Bireuen Police together with Forkopimda will continue to monitor price developments and take the necessary actions to prevent excessive price increases.

People are expected to remain calm and not make excessive purchases. They are also advised to report to the authorities if they find hoarding practices or unreasonable price increases.

It is stated that with this proactive step, it is hoped that the people of Bireuen can celebrate Eid al-Adha with joy, without worrying about soaring prices of basic commodities.
