After more than four months at Malikussaleh University, Aceh, 140 students from various universities outside Sumatra Island finally returned to their respective campuses.

they studied at Malikussaleh University following the Independent Student Exchange (PMM)-2 program. The first PMM was held online because it was still in the atmosphere of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Apart from regular lectures, 140 students take part in Nusantara Module activities on Saturdays and Sundays. The Nusantara module is an additional activity, in which students learn about the diversity, culture, arts, and customs of the people of Aceh. They held 25 meetings.

I became one of the seven lecturers supporting the Nusantara Module. In Group 3, we do a lot. So far, I have always tried to provide the best for our 20 students, even though sometimes I have to pay for it myself because the existing facilities are very inadequate. The financing system for the Nusantara Module is also very complicated, many lecturers complain that the disbursement of the budget is not in line with the activities.

Hopefully, this kind of problem can be solved in PMM-3 in the future. If I qualify and graduate, I want to register again as a lecturer in the Nusantara Module because it can introduce Acehnese culture and art to students from various provinces in Indonesia.

At the farewell event that took place in the Hall of the ACC Building, Uteunkot Campus, Lhokseumawe, Tuesday 3 January 2023, I wrote a farewell poem. Arnawan Hasibuan, one of the lecturers supporting the Nusantara Module, read the poem entitled Pelangi Nusantara, which tells the story of the PMM program.

Puisi Perpisahan dengan Mahasiswa PMM-3

Setelah empat bulan lebih berada di Universitas Malikussaleh, Aceh, sebanyak 140 mahasiswa dari bebagai universitas di luar Pulau Sumatera akhirnya kembali ke kampus masing-masing.

mereka belajar di Universitas Malikussaleh mengikuti program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeke (PMM)-2. PMM Pertama digelar secara daring karena masih dalam suasana pandemi Covid-19.

selain kuliah secara reguler, 140 mahasiswa mengikuti kegiatan Modul Nusantara pada Sabtu dan Minggu. Modul Nusantara merupakan sebuah kegiatan tambahan, di mana mahasiswa belajar tentang kebinekaan, kebudayaan, seni, dan adat istiadat masyarakat Aceh. Ada 25 pertemuan yang mereka lakukan.

saya menjadi salah satu dari tujuh dosen pengampu Modul Nusantara. Di Kelompok 3, banyak yang kami lakukan. Selama ini, saya selalu berusaha memberikan yang terbaik untuk 20 mahasiswa kami, meski terkadang harus membiayai sendiri karena fasilitas yang ada sangat tidak memadai. Sistem pembiayaan Modul Nusantara juga sangat rumit, banyak dosen mengeluh karena pencairan anggaran tidak sejalan dengan kegiatan.

Semoga masalah seperti ini bisa diatasi dalam PMM-3 ke depan. Kalau memang layak dan lulus, saya ingin mendaftar lagi sebagai dosen Modul Nusantara karena bisa memperkenalkan budaya dan senia Aceh kepada mahasiswa dari berbagai provinsi di Indonesia.

Di acara perpisahan yang berlangsung di Aula Gedung ACC Kampus Uteunkot, Lhokseumawe, Selasa 3 Januari 2023, saya menulis puisi perpisahan. Puisi berjudul Pelangi Nusantara bercerita tentang program PMM itu dibaca oleh Arnawan Hasibuan, salah satu dosen pengampu Modul Nusantara.

Pelangi Nusantara

ribuan warna menyemai gugusan pulau
mengempas ranggas
dengan akar-akar muda menyala
menolak gulita yang lahir sebelum waktunya

bahkan ketika rembulan padam
mereka mengarungi samudra
menapak jejak
mendarat di pulau-pulau terjauh
di tanah pertiwi

pelangi bersemi seusai hujan
garis-garis menyala dalam aneka warna
melintang dari titik nol di Iboih Ujong
sampai di taman Sota yang jelita

serupa pilar Nusantara
kenangan mengakar di cakrawala
memaku bumi
kokoh melindungi tradisi
perkasa merawat budaya

di atas gugusan pulau
pemuda Nusantara menyemai makna
meniti gelombang laksana Malikussaleh muda
tak surut kayuh sampai dermaga

dalam gerak tarek pukat yang memikat
putri Mandalika mengait jiwa
