The process is fairly simple and even tends to be relaxed. Taking place at the Pidie Regent's Hall, the Malikussaleh University delegation led directly by the Chancellor Prof. Dr. Herman Fithra Asean Eng, met with the Regent Roni Ahmad alias Abu Syik. The Regent of Pidie supports efforts to save Akper Pidie by joining the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Malikussaleh.

Briefly, the Regent of Pidie said that the statutory order had caused the regional government to make a number of adjustments because it was prohibited from holding higher education. "We hope that Akper Pidie can develop more after being under Universitas Malikussaleh. It can educate the young generation of Pidie and the younger generation of Aceh in the health sector," said Abu Syik in Acehnese.

After the conversation which was intimate and even full of laughter, the Chancellor of Universitas Malikussaleh and the Regent of Pidie signed the minutes, witnessed by Deputy Rector II, Dr. Mukhlis, and Acting Director of Pidie (at that time), Rahmi Inayati, M. Kes. After being under the Faculty of Medicine, Malikussaleh University (Unimal), Rahmi had to willingly "abdicate" to become head of the study program.

The signing is not the end, but rather just the first step. There is still a long way to go—especially by Universitas Malikussaleh—to complete a number of homework so that the unification process runs smoothly, quickly, and measurably to support Akper's growth.

The handing over of Akper management—in Herman's eyes—is proof of the Pidie Government's trust in Unimal's performance so far. "This is a new history, Unimal already has campuses in Lhokseumawe, North Aceh, and Pidie," he said.

According to Herman, Akper can be synergized with the Faculty of Medicine, Unimal. Lecturers at the Faculty of Medicine can teach at Akper even though there are not many teaching staff with nursing specifications at Unimal. "Lecturers at the Akper who meet the educational requirements will also be able to teach at Unimal later," he continued.

The Chancellor hopes that Akper student admissions can continue to increase starting in 2023 along with a number of improvements. The acceptance process is not only carried out in Sigli but also in Lhokseumawe and its surroundings.

Meanwhile, Abu Syik hopes that Unimal can develop Akper into an independent educational institution and can produce nursing staff. "I hand over this Akper for the future of Pidie's younger generation. Hopefully, it will be more advanced than before," said Abu Syik.

The Chancellor of Unimal and his entourage also visited the Akper building which was welcomed by the lecturers and education staff. The arrival of the Chancellor with the Vice Rector II for General Administration and Finance, Dr. Muklis, and other relevant officials.

According to Rahmi, the transfer of Pidie Akper to Malikussaleh University provides certainty for the future of Akper. Several students who previously wanted to change institutions were excited to serve at the Academy again. "Hopefully after being managed by Unimal, Akper can develop more and more..." she hoped.[]
