Saan ba may Free Swab test sa Metro Manila? (RT-PCR)

Usually sa lahat ng barangay meron yan free if may symptoms ka and may close contact or if buntis etc. Sa akin kasi for travel/work/leisure purposes kaya HINDI LIBRE sa barangay or kahit saan sa Quezon City.

Ngayon siyempre dahil kelangan ng swab test to travel ang hirap ng new normal, dagdag hassle. Pero pagtiyagaan na lang kesa makahawa o mahawa ng COVID-19 di ba?

FYI eto po ang list na available sa mga Facebook groups, share ko muna before yung experience ko. He he.

Below are Mega Swabbing Facilities with FREE swab testing.

1. NAS Mega Swabbing Facility, MANILA

• Location: Ninoy Aquino Stadium, Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, Malate, Manila

Note: Dapat may face mask and face shield kayo na suot kahit saan kayo pumunta, required po yun. New normal na yan. Hehe.

Paano makakuha ng Free Swab Test?

So shempre ang next na tanong, paano makakalibre? Well, for me dahil taga-QC ako, ang pinili ko is yung sa East Ave tsaka yung sa Antipolo/Rizal.

Ano ang Ginawa Ko Para Makakuha ng Free Swab test?

Nung una I called pa yung sa Manila to have a schedule kaso May 17 na yung earliest kaya hindi pwede. Also malayo na yun kaya di advisable for me tlga.

After ko ma-confirm mga ibang info online, pumunta ako sa East Avenue Medical Center ng maaga para pumila. (Option 6 sa listahan sa taas.) 5 am pa lang lumabas na ako sa bahay. Di ba quarantine curfew until 5 am lang? So ayun sakto nag-bike ako since 3 kms away lang naman mula sa bahay. (Buti na lang.)

Nakarating ako sa ospital mga 5:15 am na yata. And guess what, may pila na kaagad siyempre. Hahaha~

Ask nyo lang sa guard saan yung swab test or Out-Patient Dept (OPD). Tapos pila na kayo dun at maghintay. Haha. I suggest dapat nakapag-breakfast na kayo before pumunta or magbaon ng food and water para di magutom while waiting. Also magbaon ng book or be sure may games sa phone mo if wala kang data.

(Bad trip nag-uninstall ako ng games sa phone few days ago kaya wala ako magawa doon habang naghihintay kanina kundi mag-free FB. Haha. Tried reading an e-book nung may araw na kaso na-bore ako omg. I have long stopped liking to read na tlga unless online articles.)

By 6:18 a.m. meron nang araw pero madilim pa rin. Pinicturan ko yung puno na may flowers halos di kita yung kulay sa pic. Haha.

Mga 7 or 7:30 am bukas na yung Malasakit center kung saan nyo makukuha yung PhilHealth document na kailangan para makakuha ng schedule for swab test. Kahit di updated ang hulog nyo ok lang, makakalibre pa rin po basta may PhilHealth kayo. Make sure makakuha n kayo before magbigayan ng numbers for schedule ng swab test.

By 8 a.m. namigay na sila ng numbers. Take note, SCHEDULE or APPOINTMENT pa lang po ng swab test ito hindi ka pa isu-swab agad. Haha.

Anyway I got lucky number 27 out of 70 people na binibigyan ng number per day. So panibagong pila na naman kami to wait para makakuha ng schedule.

By batch ang pagpunta sa scheduling area of course for social distancing purposes. Around past 10 a.m. sa wakas kami na yung next na nabigyan ng schedule. Unfortunately di nila binigay agad yung form na fi-fill upan namin kaya pagdating doon sa scheduling area saka pa lang kami nag-fill up. Sayang yung oras sa pila dapat binigay na nila agad eh habang naghihintay kami. Anyway ganito itsura nun.

Apparently April 29 na yung earliest available sked. Sayang di ako nakapunta kahapon kung ganun, pero ok na rin kesa wala. So make sure yung travel date arrival sa destination nyo is within 72 hrs ng pa-swab test nyo. (Yung 72 hrs daw starts from the time na na-swab kayo.) And makuha nyo yung result before your flight/departure.

May 1 pa yung flight ko so habol pa naman daw. Makukuha na yung result by April 30 daw even if 2-3 days ang sabi nila na makuha yung resulta.

Nagtanong kasi ako sa main bldg ng hospital regarding sa resulta kung kelan makukuha. Yun ang advice ng taga-schedule eh.

Hello East Ave Medical Center! 1st time ko makapasok diyan kahit madalas daanan ng jeep pag nagco-commute dati. Hehe.

Anyway, pwede naman i-email daw sa akin yung resulta pero mas maganda if i-check ko muna doon sa Friday daw. So okay medyo nakampante ako pero kelangan ko makasigurado na makukuha ko yung resulta before my flight di ba? So paano ngayon yan?

Solution # 2: Antipolo/Ynares online appointment.

Buti na lang nag-open yung slots for online schedule/appointments kanina. Nakapag-register ako sa site and nakapili ng oras for swab test. Hurray! This time mas maaga ang sked ko. April 28 is Wed kasi kaya available, so ayun pasok pa rin sa 72 hrs requirement. Woohooo!

Di nga lang ako makakapunta doon using my bike kasi 18 kms away from bahay!!! My gahd I cannot bike ng ganun kalayo one way pa lang. So probably sasakay na lang ako ng jeep papunta doon.

Anyway ganyan lang po ang gagawin nyo para makakuha ng free swab test for travel/work purposes. Hassle talaga pero wala eh, ganito na ngayon kaya pagtiyagaan na lang para makalibre ng swab test. Napakamahal pag hindi libre, yung pinakamurang nakita ko nasa P2,000. Mahal pa rin! Buti sana kung rich ako magbabayad na lang ako kahit magkano pero hindi pa ako rich kaya dun tayo sa libre. Hehe.
