Acting Regent Opens Village Arts Festival and Craft Exhibition.
The Bireuen Regency Government (Pemkab) held a Village Arts Festival and Craft Exhibition in a series of events to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Bireuen Regency which lasted for two days, at the Cot Gapu Green Open Space (RTH) field, Kota Juang District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, starting Saturday - Sunday 12 - 13 October 2024.
The Acting Regent of Bireuen, Jalaluddin, SH MM in the event attended by Forkopimda officials and the ranks of the Bireuen Regency Government, in his remarks when opening the event, marked by the beating of the rapai pase, Saturday (12/10/2024) evening said on behalf of the Bireuen Regency Government, we welcome and fully support the implementation of this Village Arts Festival and Craft Exhibition which is a series of activities held in order to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Bireuen Regency, with the theme "Advanced Bireuen, Prosperous People".
The Acting Regent said that arts and culture have extraordinary meaning and are an important momentum for all to uphold and preserve arts and culture in Bireuen Regency which comes from ancestors to be better known especially for the younger generation.
By holding this event, it is expected to be able to transform the various values contained in it, for a better life, especially for the younger generation so that they are not influenced by negative foreign cultures so that they will produce a young generation with an artistic soul and good personality.
However, the works of art that will be developed are expected not to eliminate the identity of the Acehnese nation, especially Bireuen Regency. Because culture is a manifestation of reason and intellect. Culture is not engineering but is rooted in the long history of a nation's journey.
"In addition to the art festival, we also hold a village craft exhibition, this is an effective means for villages to promote their potential and superior products to buyers. Hopefully more and more similar events will be held, which will have an impact not only on regional promotion, but also on the economy of the Bireuen community," said Jalaluddin, the former Head of the Aceh Civil Service Police Unit.
