Acting Governor Opens Coordination Meeting to Strengthen Village Governments throughout Aceh.
Acting (Acting) Governor of Aceh Bustami opened the Coordination Meeting (Rakor) Strengthening Gampong Governments throughout Aceh at the Aceh Regional Secretariat Multipurpose Building, Friday, (05/07/2024).
The coordination meeting was attended by the Director General of Village Government Development, Ministry of Home Affairs, Dr. La Ode Ahmad P. Bolombo, Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Treasury, Aceh Province, heads of related SKPAs and coordination meeting participants from city districts.
In his remarks, the Acting Governor said that his party was grateful that Aceh received the fourth largest Village Fund allocation in Indonesia after Central Java, because the number of gampongs in Aceh reached 6,500. From 2015 to 2024, as many as 6,497 gampong governments in Aceh have received a total of IDR 44.2 trillion in Village Funds.
"In the midst of Aceh's fiscal capacity which tends to decline due to the reduction in the Aceh Special Autonomy Fund (DOKA), the Village Fund is a gift that we are very grateful for and must be managed and utilized as well as possible.
"Therefore, we must realize that the task of gampong officials, especially keuchik or village heads, is very difficult," said the Acting Governor.
Furthermore, said the Acting Governor, as leaders responsible for the administration of gampong government, keuchik are also required to plan, utilize and be accountable for the use of Village Funds, in order to produce various achievements in accordance with applicable regulations.
"Therefore, it is appropriate for them to receive special attention in the form of strengthening and coaching in the administration of gampong government by gampong supervisors in the District, Regent/Mayor, Governor and Ministry of Home Affairs," said the Acting Governor.
The Acting Governor of Aceh continued that the government is responsible for providing clear regulations and legal certainty to ensure their comfort in working to serve the community.
"For this reason, to the Regents and Mayors, I hope that they will increase their attention in developing and supervising the administration of gampong government. Visit, accompany and motivate village officials.
"On this occasion, I also remind us all that there are two big national agendas that we must succeed together, namely the XXI Aceh-North Sumatra PON and the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Elections," said the Acting Governor.
The Acting Governor said that the role of the Regent/Mayor, Subdistrict Head, Keuchik, and the entire community is very strategic for the success of this agenda, for the sake of a better and more dignified Aceh.
