Was at Tiong Bahru food centre with a bigger group of colleagues than usual for lunch recently. I went to one of the shorter queue stall and got a char siew rice. It was quite good and luckily I finished my food already before I heard the loud bang and a bunch of feathers fell from above. My colleague said a bird hit the big ass fan above us. People around were all looking around. At first, we thought the bird survived and maybe flew away.
🎶Meanwhile, some music for you to enjoy as you read. This piece is part of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, particularly the first of the 4 violin concertos, called Spring.

After lunch, when I went to return the the tray, I saw what was left of a pigeon on the floor. Rest In Peace, pigeon. I think some of the other colleagues may have PTSD after this lunch and won't come back soon.
On the way back to office, I passed by a café which was closed and seemed like renovation work for another business. Proably a different café or a restaurant that is too expensive for my taste. The sign says "Magpie".
