You can switch characters on the fly here so you have the full cast available for whatever task you are taking on. From my minimal playtime, it seems certain areas are designed to take advantage of certain skills only one character has. Forces you to keep them all alive or face an impossible situation later.
Ok that does make sense do you have all the characters or are you limited to like 4 like divinity original sin 2
The main cast is available at the beginning of the game. Additional characters can be earned as you play and unlock them.
I guess there is achievements in the game that unlock the characters similar to risk of rain 2?
