The toughest bosses to take out in Final Fantasy VII

in INVEN Gaming4 years ago

Final Fantasy VII is one of the most remembered RPGs from the PlayStation 1 era, for many it was the first videogame they could experience of this genre, others would be used to this type of gameplay for playing their prequels, the truth is that this title would become a cult for many players, thanks to its history, characters and epic battles.

Unlike their prequel called Final Fantasy VI, in this one they included a more complicated method in the battles, having the need in most of the times, to study the enemy very well in order to exterminate him. It is no longer enough to just press the attack button many times, you have to be more cautious and choose very well what magic or attacks to implement in the battle.

As an example we must quote the first boss we meet in the game called Guardian Scorpion, we must be attentive to the indications that Cloud tells us, simply do not attack him when he places himself in a defensive position, if we ignore this small detail he will launch a devastating attack that will possibly exterminate our lives.

Throughout the game we can find really strong and resistant enemies, forming battles which can last up to 1 hour. Many think that the main antagonist called Sephiroth is the strongest one in the game, however, his battle is simple, you can even finish it on the first try if you are well prepared.

There are other bosses who are more complicated to kill, having the need to repeat the battle many times to understand the correct strategy, hence their difficulty. Indicate which is more powerful of all is a task that will depend on the experience of each player, however, we can make a small list of the enemies that can cause us more problems.

Next, we will see a list of the most powerful Final Fantasy VII bosses, having the need to repeat the battle several times in order to exterminate them.

Lost Number

One of the optional bosses we can face in the game. We can find him at Nibelheim Manor which protects one of the summoning subjects. What makes this boss really strong is his method of attack which can range from powerful magic to really devastating blows.

When he reaches the middle of his life he can have two transformations, if we attack him with a magic spell he will transform into a monster that casts powerful magic, which is not so complicated to kill him, but if we hit him with a physical attack when he is half alive he will transform into a being with long arms, which will give you such devastating blows that can kill you if you are not well equipped.

Ruby Weapon

A quite respectable enemy which catches any player unawares when he faces this weapon in the first battle. It's an optional boss will only come out if you defeat Ultima Weapon, once eliminated you can place it in the desert of Gold Saucer. This is an enemy that has the highest defense in the entire game.

At first he will be immune to any attack you make him, no matter how powerful he is, he simply won't tickle you, you just have to wait for him to use his tentacles, this is the ideal time to be able to attack him, however, his tentacles can take as much life as magic points, being very annoying when fighting against it.

The only weakness Ruby Weapon has is paralysis, we must establish an appropriate strategy to use their tentacles and at that very moment use some spell or invocation hades to leave it completely paralyzed and attack with all our arsenal, to remove the 800,000 points of life.

Emerald Weapon

Definitely the super boss who has given the most trouble to that player in Final Fantasy VII. We can find it in the depths of the sea between Junon and Costa del Sol, just get into the submarine and navigate through those areas, until we hit it, this way the battle will start.

When we start, in the upper left corner we see a counter with a time of 20 minutes, if we do not finish the battle in that time we will automatically lose, however, there is a solution for this, is to find the underwater materia, so we can be for unlimited time underwater fighting against Emerald Weapon.

This superb boss is capable of eliminating you in a single attempt if you are not very well prepared for battle. He has physical, magical attacks, some of which take magic points or 65% of your life. There is a long list of strategies to kill this fierce enemy, the most common is to have the minimum possible materials equipped, as one of his attacks will take 1111 points of life for each material you have.

Use the last limits of typhoid or Cloud which take a lot of life, use life regeneration magic and the summoning of the knights of the round table, but be careful when using it, because it can counterattack with a stomp that causes damage to all our equipment, if we are very low in life we will pass to a better life.

We must remove a total of 1,000,000 life points, this is one of the reasons why it takes so long to eliminate this enemy, so we must use attacks that allow us to cause much damage in bursts, so in each turn lower the maximum possible life.

These were some of the most difficult bosses in Final Fantasy VII, if you consider that another one is worthy of being in this list you can indicate it in the comments section and give a strategy of how to eliminate it.
