Fix You (Music Themed 5-Minute Freewrite Challenge)

I listened to the song "Fix You" by Coldplay, and I know it was hit being a favorite of many, even other artists. Well, it might not have reached number 1 or even the top 10 of Billboard Hot 100, and in fact, it only peaked at number 59. A bigger hit in UK though reaching number 4. Yet, the song was considered a hit, and still popular and relevant nowadays.

"Fix You" is actually the second single of Coldplay for their highly successful album "X&Y" in mid-2000s. The message, and the song's tune made it become popular in TV shows, as well as the background song of some perfromances. I remember the song being used in an inspiring performance in a TV show.

Recently, the song was also covered by Sam Smith. His version was also lauded leading him to release it as a single. Than the most recent one is K-Pop boyband BTS performing the song for MTV Unplugged. It's kinda rare as the group was usually known for their dancing, and electronic beats. This time, the lads took those beats off, and vocals went raw with their own version of "Fix You". BTS has shown their other side that they're not just about dancing, and that they can really performed with great vocals.

Meanwhile, "Fix You" is also one of Coldplay's most streamed songs and videos on Spotify and YouTube. It was released on the early days of YouTube, and when Spotify is not yet around as it is now. It might be a bigger hit then if YouTube and Spotify are already very popular then.
