So, what is Broken Rice ?

What I understood from the locals is that Broken Rice is a type of rice harvested before it's fully ready. Unlike rice from Thailand & Malaysia, where is it fully harvested. When cooking Broken Rice, less water is required and when ready, the texture of the rice is harder and somewhat crunchier.

When serving Broken Rice, it's best combination can be anything; be it meat, vegetables, fish.. anything that you feel like it.
