Hello friends and wonderful steemians.I am glad to participate in the week 2 of this contest organized by @besticonfinder It is indeed an interesting contest.

TOUR OF NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP BENUE STATE.NIGERIA.

BENUE state orientation camp is located at Wanunne TARKA LGA of BENUE state.

THE JOURNEY HAS BEGUN

I got to BENUE links park in Aba as early as 5:00 am and paid my transport fare.Soon the bus was filled up and the journey began.He left the park in Aba for Benue by 6:00 am.
The bus journeyed pass Isiala Ngwa,Okigwe and down to Enugu.We got to Enugu in three hours time.

The passengers were allowed to buy water and other food items.I bought orange which I was licking in the course of the journey.

From Enugu to the border of Benue state took about an hour making it a total of four (4) hours.We just entered the first part of BENUE state from Enugu state.The place is called OTUKPO.

BENUE state has a large landmass.The journey Continued from OTUKPO,We stayed on the bus for another four (4)hours before we finally got to a place called GBOKO.GBOKO is a popular city in BENUE state,the bus drove into the park and we alighted.We have spent eight(8) hours in total.

However,GBOKO was not the destination,remember it is WANUNNE.We had to board another bus from there to WANUNNE.
Finally we got the NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP in WANUNNE after one hour.It was a joy to have finally got to my destination.I have spent about nine( 9) hours on the road.What a journey.

We were ushered in at the entrance gate and tags were given to us.The whole place was filled with military personnel.They are the ones incharge of the Orientation camp.We received our mattress and were assigned room numbers too.

I arranged my apartment.I was very tired and as such I had to eat some snacks and took my bath later on.

LIFE ON CAMP

I stayed at the orientation camp for three weeks.As early as 5:00 am...we were awaken by military trumpet,we would quickly take our bath quickly and rush to the PARADE GROUND.

After the morning PARADE, we would take our plates and line up to collect food at the food unit.After breakfast we retire to our room.In about an hour time,Another trumpet sounds which signals that everyone move to the hall for lectures/seminars.The lecture ends by 1 pm each day.

Next, the trumpet sounds again by 1:30 pm to alert us for lunch. We would also line up to collect food.

By 4:30 another trumpet will sound.This time,it's for evening PARADE.We a shall be busy at the PARADE GROUND until 6:30 pm.

After the evening PARADE,I would quickly have a shower and by 6:40pm...the trumpet for dinner will sound.All roads will also lead to the food unit where we collect dinner.

As soon as it gets to 7:30 another trumpet will alert us to move to the hall where social events such as drama, comedy,beauty pageant,songs will take place.

All these activities ranging from early morning parade,lectures,seminars,workshop, sports, evening parade,social gathering are all compulsory.

This same pattern of life Continued until the time that we left the camp.It was a programmed and regimented lifestyle.

It was a hectic period.You dare not miss any event and one's life is being controlled by a mere TRUMPET.The TRUMPET tells us what to do at any point in time.
