Tour to Non Pareil Estate & Lipton Seat

Hi everyone.. This is my second article on Steemit related to my travel life. As we live in a beautiful country, we have uncountable beautiful places to visit. My wife and One of her cousin brother & sister joined us for this tour. We selected a car as our travel partner.

Travel Partner

Early in the morning, we started our journey from Colombo. Our route was Colombo, Awissawella, Rathnapura, Pelmadulla, Balangoda to Non Pareil Estate. We got our breakfast at Balangoda & Started the tour again. Then we going towards Haputhale & turned in to Non Pareil Estate road from Pambahinna. This road was a really hard road to travel by car.

On the way to Non Pareil Estate

Drive in a narrow, undeveloped, mountain road gives me a thrilling experience. Some of the narrow bends were unable to pass at once. I have reversed the car several times to pass these bends. If I did any driving mistake on this road, it could be a disaster.

However, we were unable to go to the top of this road due to the passenger capacity & road condition. Somehow we were lucky to find some space to turn back the car. When we on our way back to Pambahinna, we saw a village school near this mountain road. Near the school, there was a beautiful small waterfall & we spend some time there.

Village School

It was a very rural area & we were a wonder to see a school there.

Then we headed towards Haputhale for visit to the Lipton Seat. This road also a narrow & mountain road. But not difficult than the previous road. Most of the time we had to go through the Tea Estates under the misty weather condition.

Misty Wether Condition

That feeling was really awesome. Finally, we reach our destination.

Lipton Seat is a high observation viewpoint. Clouds, Tea Estates, Waterfalls with the combination of mist make the view of Heaven. I felt that how lucky was I am to born in a country like this. Earlier this place belonged to a tea planter named Sir Thomas Lipton. At that time he was using this location as the seat to survey his empire. That's why this pace is called Lipton Seat.

We had our lunch from the Lipton seat cafeteria & spend more than two hours diving in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Then we started to way back to Colombo after a great tour.
