For whichever reasons, in gymnastics, there are nations who excel at certain events while they might not be as strong in others. China, while not the strongest on floor and vault (Cheng Fei would be an exception) has been historically superb on beam and uneven bars. To this day, Chinese gymnasts are examples of textbook execution on those two events, if you want to see how leaps, jumps, and turns are performed, you can't go wrong using a Chinese gymnast doing those skills.
