Africa's giant, Nigeria won't be partaking in the african men's volleyball olympic qualifier which as at the time of this report, is currently on. The reason for Nigeria's absense in Egypt where the competition took off, still looks unclear and shady.

In recent times, the Nigerian men's national volleyball team has been quiet in the international scene and their absense in this competition will increase questions being raised about their capacity, capability, stability and their conviction as a volleyball team.

There are just seven countries in Africa currently participating in the competition in Egypt and they include Tunisia, Algeria, Egypt, Cameroon, Botswana, Ghana and Niger.

Very sad news. This just go to show that most of the people handling sport administration in Nigeria are people who are not suppose to be there in the first place.

Rather electing people with passion for sport and determination for success no matter the obstacle we elect base on quota system.

Well said sir! It is indeed very unfortunate.
