Salesforce is an American cloud-based software company headquartered in San Francisco, California.
It provides customer relationship management (CRM) service and also provides enterprise applications focused on customer service, marketing automation, analytics, and application development.

NFT Plan and Objection from Employees

Salesforce planned to launch an NFT Cloud offering.
But soon after 400 out of 56,000 employees are objecting to the initiative over environmental and scam concerns. So, the company plans to have a Listening Session to communicate deeply with employees about its new NFT business plan.
Salesforce is a mission and purpose-oriented culture company, CEO Mark Benioff and management team generally approve most of employees’ offers. So even the number is relatively smaller, the company may concern more seriously the small group’s opinion.

Companies that have NFT Backlashes

One of top rank game company, Ubisoft, got big resistance as well, but go forward now. And one of biggest game distribution channel steam declared it would not be involved in Blockchain games.
And some game companies still are object to Blockchain games and P2E system.

Issues: Environmental Issues and Scams

Some blockchains including Bitcoin and Ethereum use energy intensive proof of work for security. Even though some Ethereum scaling solution layer 2 chains claim they are enery efficient.
But regarding practical cases, the layer 2 were not efficient because they all should interact with Etherteum to checkpoint and tokens gets moved between Ethereum and layer 2.
Other chains, Solana, Tezos, flow might not suffer these issues, but still there are some arguable points.

And several people believes that cryptos are Ponzi schemes and similar concept NFTs are also scams. And recently several Openesea marketplace users had NFT’s stolen through a phising scam. Another issue is that scammers could copy NFT projects and portraying themselves as the original.
