Oggi continuo a parlare di limoni e del loro uso, o almeno come noi in famiglia spesso lo usiamo. Come ho già detto ieri il succo di limone è un ottimo antiossidante non solo per l'essere umano ma anche per gli alimenti, infatti nelle epoche passate, insieme al sale, veniva utilizzato per conservare i cibi. Questo caratterizzava il gusto degli alimenti che spesso venivano proprio cotti dallo stesso limone, come nel caso del pesce crudo!

Fragole col Limone

Oggi invece per pranzo ho scelto di usare il limone per condire le nostre fragole da giardino. Contro tutte le aspettative abbiamo trovato questi fragoloni giganti e li ho preparati tagliandoli a tocchettini, aggiungendo zucchero di canna e succo di limone per non farle ossidare e per darle quel gusto in più, volendo si può aggiungere anche succo di arancia.
Ogni volta che preparo questo dessert mi viene in mente la canzone di Luca Carboni Fragole buone buone ascoltata per la prima volta nel 1986 e di cui sono profondamente innamorata.

  Ma lei stupida com'è

Purtroppo la canzone non fa riferimento al dessert ma è una analogia che indica l'uso del limone per la preparazione dell'eroina che, posta su un cucchiaio, veniva mescolata col succo di limone, poi il cucchiaino veniva scaldato con un accendino e il contenuto sciolto veniva iniettato in vena con una siringa. Negli anni '70 e '80 era una pratica molto in uso, ancora oggi esistente, ma che in quel periodo ha mietuto moltissime vittime! Ora vi lascio le foto...ma niente eroina state tranquilli, preferisco farmi le fragole piuttosto che le pere! 😅🤦🏻‍♀️

Today I keep talking about lemons and their use, or at least how we often use it in the family. As I said yesterday, lemon juice is an excellent antioxidant not only for the human being but also for food, in fact in past ages, together with salt, it was used to store food. This characterized the taste of foods that were often cooked from the same lemon, as in the case of raw fish!

Strawberries with Lemon

Today, however, for lunch I chose to use lemon to season our garden strawberries. Against all expectations we found these giant strawberries and I prepared them by cutting them into small pieces, adding brown sugar and lemon juice so as not to oxidize them and to give them that extra flavor, if you want you can also add orange juice. Every time I prepare this dessert I remember the song by Luca Carboni Good good strawberries first heard in 1986 and with which I am deeply in love.

Unfortunately, the song does not refer to dessert but is an analogy to indicate the use of lemon for the preparation of heroin which was mixed with lemon juice on a spoon, then the spoon was heated with a lighter and injected into the vein with a syringe. In the 70s and 80s it was a practice in widespread use, which still exists today, but which at that time claimed many victims! Now I leave you the photos ... but no heroine, don't worry, I prefer to make myself strawberries rather than pears!
