@nackasnelson a second year student of the National Polytechnic University Institute Bamenda studying under the school of engineering in the department of telecommunications. I am in the student union association holding the post of the education coordinator 2 of the said University making sure as a student they are happy and contented with the school environment of the school.
National Polytechnic University Institute (NPUI) Bamenda was created in 1996 in affiliation with other private Universities such as Our Saviour Institute of Agriculture, Science and Technology (OSISATECH) Enugu, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
It was founded by late Pa YONG Francis my his soul continue to Rest In Peace.
The University in 2002 was accredited by the Cameroon Ministry of Higher Education with the name National Polytechnic Bambui. In 2010, the name was changed to National Polytechnic Bamenda and in 2016 it was transformed into a full-fledge University Institute by the Cameroon Ministry of Higher Education changing the name again from National Polytechnic Bamenda to National Polytechnic University Institute (NPUI) Bamenda.
National Polytechnic University Institute Bamenda is one of the largest independent universities in Cameroon, with over six thousand (6,000) students from different countries across the globe, coming together in an innovative and trans-formative learning environment. In 2013 NPUI was awarded the best independent University in Cameroon and in 2019 NPUI was the second best independent University in Cameroon by the Cameroon Ministry of Higher Education. Located at Bambui Bamenda, the country’s academic Centre, NPUI is running on it principle to pursuit excellence in teaching and learning, innovation, research, technology, and an academic system that continually evolves. The school empowers us the students to think out of the box and put in us the confidence to make an impact in the society. Many of the degree programmes and departments were strange to Cameroon’s education when it started. The University offers a lot of undergraduate programmes such as State Registered Nursing, Brevet de Technicien Superieur (BTS) and Bachelor’s Degree which are grouped i the HND program. It equally offer postgraduate (Master’s Degree) programmes in the areas of Business, Finance and Management, Medical and Biomedical Sciences, and educational Sciences. UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES OFFERED AT NPUI: National Polytechnic University Institute Bamenda offers innovative job oriented educational programmes in the following fields of study: Accountancy, Banking and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Trade and Sales, Insurance, Journalism, ... etc
Our cam pose is well structured and has a great building plan having the biggest Amphi class in the whole of the Bamenda
It also has great laboratories which accommodates all departments during the Higher National Diploma session.
Our school is outstanding in it’s so many ways and has great reputation both nationally and internationally and capturing the eyes of many.
