What I feel is that being consistent is very important and crucial for getting highlighted and until you're not in that limelight you can't grow to that extent. You must look out for ways to be in that limelight which would gradually lead you to build a great fanbase and that can be initiated by being consistent in uploading content and exposing yourself the most you can.

So to sum up - BE CONSISTENT - PUSH FOR BEING IN THAT LIMELIGHT - GRAB A FANBASE :)
