Con el objetivo de acabar con la migración delictiva, mediante un megaoperativo, la policía intervino a más de 300 extranjeros, en su mayoría venezolanos, los cuales no contaban con documentos de identidad y habrían entrado ilegalmente al Perú. Todos cayeron en el mercado La Hermelinda, en Trujillo.
