Corona Virus Conspiracies and Myths Debunked

Hello all,

I know there's many conspiracies going on around the Corona Virus at the moment and I just want fellow Steemit users know what I know now at this stage, from my current research.

So, first of all, we have the conspiracy that the Corona Virus is a man-made virus. This comes largely due to a downloadable pdf document which covers US Patent: US7220852, which can be seen here: https://patents.google.com/patent/US7220852B1/en

From the article, some people discovered that it's mostly a rat based virus, as seen from the screenshot below:

Google changes their homepage from time to time. I and others obviously noticed the ''mouse'', that might refer to a rat, and the other animals along the borders of the cover image where the Corona Virus can be derived from (snakes, chicken, etc.) on the 24th of January:

There is also a corona to be seen in the logo, which I have made a red circle around, so you can see where it is.

However, this doesn't imply Google has anything to do with the Corona Virus, they just change their homepage accordingly to what's happening in the world.

So, on to the next conspiracy theory or hoax: that there should be some sort of Biotech company based in Wuhan called: Shang Hai Ruilan Bao Hu San Biotech Limited, that has the same logo as Resident Evil's Umbrella corporation but then a green-white umbrella instead of a red-white umbrella:

They also state that Corona is an anagram of Racoon. A collective figure in the Resident Evil video game series. As for the anagram, it's just dumb, the figure in the game is called Raccoon with 2 c's, not one.

Then when you google this hoax, you see all upload dates between 18,19,20,21 june 2019 on the first 20 or so results. This can just be the work of a person or group good in SEO, similar to the ''Florida Man'' series.

As far as I am concerned there is no such thing as a global zombie outbreak or whatever. Just some hoax and this virus will maybe kill about a thousand people maximum (like SARS did) globally.

What do you guys think? Hoax or real? Any info to add? I will update this post or make a #2 post as soon I figure out more.

Meanwhile, I will take care of my own Corona fever...
