I'm holding my breath on this one. If it were not so tragic it would be funny. The whole diatribe looks like a daring game.
It is a pity that it has been reduced to a "personal" argument between the USA and Iran. The rest of the civilized world should take a stance. There is more at stake than just a regional conflict over territories or ethnic preeminence; it goes beyond imposing a religious dogma to a region.
The very values of civilization and humanity are at risk here and the never-ending conflic makes human history a perpetual drama where we try to uphold great expectations about what humanity can accomplish, while we consistently allow attrocities to be commited, thus negating our alleged superiority over other beasts.
