RE: London Bridge multi angle of apparent shooting of a terrorist by police 2019-11-29
Amazing isn't it. So few people in the UK know what a gunshot sounds like let alone being able to roughly tell the difference between long guns, pistols or bigger weapons.
I think it has as much to do with them going from virtually no movement on the ground to him being killed without any obvious reason. People generally don't see people killed here ever, no. I've never seen it anywhere - despite being in/near some big fights with over 100 people involved. There are actually quite a lot of licensed gun owners in Britain but you rarely hear about it. Where I am in the countryside I hear gunshots every few days, however, due to the farmers.
Farmers? Is hunting popular in your neck of the woods? Or are they firing away at birds feasting in their fields?
Both - but mostly shooting at birds in the fields. They deliberately put out scraps of food for them and then shoot them.. They also breed birds in the forest and release them to be shot too. In general the whole situation feels terrible to me.
Sounds bad because I figure there is some danger involved in shooting birds with rifles like that. Who knows what the bullets end up hitting.
they use shotguns rather than rifles, so it's not really a problem I think.
True.
