The Community I created. Here is a synopsis of why I did - and who I am.

Introducing myself and my "Hard Assets - WWI (world wide investments) proposal"

My name is Alex and I have spent a lifetime in business, working for myself.

My CV (so to speak)

Ran the Accounting Department of a Shipping Company (32 bookkeepers) - and before I left them, I was General Manager of the office and a Director
Became a shareholder in a shipping company
Opened a Trading company in London, with offices in Mayfair. Mainly an Export company, sourcing cement for buyers
*Opened, in partnership and ran a Bunkering station in Cyprus. After one year of operations, Shell made an offer to buy us out and my partner decided to sell.

I then moved to South Africa

With my brother, we put together a company (value in mid-1990s on startup of about USD $32 million
Moved on to gold mining and we still have an interest in two gold mining properties - negotiating to sell them soon

Semi-retired: I devoted myself to writing a novel. While doing so, I kept on getting newsletters from 'specialists' who advised me that the world economy is going to crash and only they know how to save me and keep me rich. Note that they are only interested in wealthy people who made money and now need them to work out how to make more. I've never understood people who make such investments, for I feel that if I was capable of making myself wealthy, I know how to continue doing so.

I was not born wealthy, so I find that I admire those who work to earn their livelyhood. Because of this, my closest friends have been ordinary working-class people who unfortunately struggle to make ends meet. The truth is, they all have families and spend half their life in despair of getting ahead of the game.

Those who do succeed find themselves worrying more than they did before, as they now 'have something to lose' if things go wrong. I would suggest to them that they make small investments in other countries so that if things do go wrong at home, there is somewhere they can start again with a small nest egg to get them going again. I find it frightens them as they do not know how to do it safely.

Until recently I did not have an answer for them.

Now, I think I do, thanks to the blockchain.

I am not going to knock the digital coin revolution, for I am a believer in it, but, how can a family person who has children to worry about invest in something that shoots up and down in value from once to three times a year? I wanted to find something more stable.

I now have it.

My next message will explain how it works and why it is a solution for people without wealth. This is meant to be of help to those who are struggling, but are willing to make a small sacrifice so as to make life a bit more secure for their family.
