Scientists remove HIV from mouse cells

Researchers at Temple University in Pennsylvania have made a medical breakthrough in the treatment of HIV. They used a gene-editing tool to remove the disease from cells of infected mice. It is the first time that HIV has been successfully removed from cells and prevented from replicating in an animal.
