THE GUSTAV GUN

Gustav, the most biggest weapon in the 20th century made by Nazis.

We are two curios engineer cannedies from Instanbul. We wonder about Nazis' war machines and we know there are lots of them but this article which our first one is about Gustav. Because we have justlearnedit.

The Krupp family in German had a idea about a gun which is trasporting in a railway. This idea was interested by Nazis.

Lets take a look to this giant weapon's features. The Gustav gun was done by in ten years. (1930-1940) The aim of the project was to destroy enemy positions in the range of the 38-48 km.

At that time there was not a proper enginee for moving this giant gun which it had 1350 tonne magnitude. The railways were buit in order to move the Gustav.

Gustav gun had been used against Russions in Sivastapol surround at II. World War. After war's ending the Gustav captured by American arm and is was destoried by them for avoid to lost the Gustov to another country.
