Today I would like to continue share with you the Yangshao Culture Museum, let us walk into the museum to see the history hidden inside. For the Chinese resident uses ID card can free to enter the museum, this is really good!

At first glance into the museum. . . In fact, not any artifacts, but a group of children learn to make pottery, build a house. They learn from the beginning of make mud, to drill wood to take the fire, all of these are done by their hand. I feel super happy looking at such young age children was learning our own history.

This is a distribution of Neolithic sites in China. It includes all the cultural types of Neolithic in China until now, Yangshao, Longshan, Dawenkou, Qijia, Qingliangang, Liangzhu, Qujialing, Dasi, Hongshan and Hemudu. To be honest, when I typed down the name of these cultures, I'm so proud of Chinese history.

The below figure shows the place where the first time Yangshao culture was found. I is located in Mianchi County South Shaoshan North. In 1921, with the approval of the Chinese government, the first excavation was conducted by Swedish Andersen and Chinese scholars. According to the unearthed cultural relics, it is confirmed that this is the remnant of our ancient culture. According to archaeological practice, the name of the place where first discovered to be named the culture type, so there is the name Yangshao culture.

When we talk about the Yangshao culture, I have to mention the Swedish Andersen. He is Swedish archaeologist, paleontologist and geologist, closely associated with the beginnings of Chinese archaeology in the 1920s. In 1914 he was invited to China as mining adviser to the Chinese government. [//]:# (!steemitworldmap 34.8279698 lat 111.7739662 long yangshao d3scr)

In collaboration with Chinese colleagues, he discovered prehistoric Neolithic remains in central China’s Henan Province, along the Yellow River in 1921. This is the Yangshao culture. This too was a highly important breakthrough, since the prehistory of what is now China had not yet been investigated in scientific archaeological excavations and the Yangshao and other prehistoric cultures were completely unknown (they had never been mentioned in any historical documents, and had never before been recognized and investigated).[From Wiki]

Chinese history is fascinating. I did not know much about the Yangshao culture. It’s interesting how similar the huts are to the Native American teepees.

I will show some artifacts in the following posts, you will see.
