Changing our world perspective through education: part 1

I can't speak for life in other countries of the world, only my experience in America. As a child educated in the American Public School System I was taught on many levels, the greatness of Western Civilization and Europe's contributions in the arts, sciences, etc. I can clearly remember my middle school American History book about 400 pages or so thick, lays out the rise of European powers as they began their "age of exploration" which starts with Christopher Columbus. Before we start here, let us take a few steps back and witness the integrity and honesty of the artists from antiquity who created works with no preset agendas and drew inspiration from everyday life as they saw it.

These images are just the tip of the iceberg which clearly shows Africans in a manner other than that of slave or savage. I will show more images captured by European artists and how so-called Blacks (Moors) were truly viewed and their role in world society.
