LALON AKHARA

Baul emperor Lalon Shah created an area in Chewria of Kumarkhali upazila, Kushtia zila in Khulna division. Near the railway station of Kushtia district in Khulna division, Lalon Fakir is located in this Aakhara. Researchers said that Lalon Fakir was born in 1774 and died in 1890. There is debate about the early description of Lalon's life which was not possible to break. He was a spiritual leader, a magical poet, a reformer and author of the Baul song.

He taught the Policy and spiritual education of his disciples on this akhara. His disciples used to address him as "Sai". He used to arrange a vandara (festival) in the winter. For music and discursions, where more than a hundred disciples and communities were gathered. It is heard that the number of his disciples was more than ten thousand.

At present, the main features of Lalna Akhara house has been wasted, missing has its own thoughtful character.Under the modern & Dazzling building has been covered The original atmosphere of religious learning. The United Nations recommendation was not followed the construction of historic sites and structures within four kilometers of archaeological sites. As a result, the real Fakir/beggar's face was lost.Authority and rights have gone beyond the hands of Baul-Fakir on the Akhra.
