Time Travel: Saint-Petersburg

Hello everyone!
Today I want to tell you about the center of Saint-Petersburg. To be exact, about the Hermitage Museum (Winter Palace).
It is the historical center of the city.
Palace was biuld in 1762 as a main residence for Russian emperors.

So, once I've found a book with many old photos of Saint-Petersburg and that was really amazing!

And got the idea of comparing this photos with today reality. I was confused how many things has changed...

This is the view from the Neva river embankment. Later the lion statues and the pier were removed due to the construction of a Palace Bridge.
On this photo you can see that they were moved to the right, further from the Winter Palace.

That's an interesting post there, have you spent much time in St Petersburg? what is there to do there if you are a tourist?

I was born there... so I spend almost all my life)
For the tourists there is a lot of things to do, for any taste! The second largest city in Russia with such history can't be not interesting)
