Dear Friends!
I present to you cards 1930-1931 years from the archive
my family on a historical theme.

A meeting of workers in front of the Morozov strike of 1885.

During the time from 1881 to 1884 years, the penalties for workers increased
at 155 %.
The strike began on 7 January and continued until 14 Jan 1885
inclusive.
By order of the Emperor Alexander III
were made mass arrests.
Leaders and 33 workers were tried.
The court found that from 1/3 to half of the earnings
were deducted in fines in favor of the manufacturer.
"Our white slaves," said
the lawyer Plevako.
After learning about the terrible oppression of the workers, a jury
they were acquitted.
After the Morozov strike, the government was forced
to introduce a law of 1886, by which the penalties were going
not in the pocket of the manufacturer, and was spent on the needs of the workers.

After the pogrom in 1905.

The largest riots were in Odessa, Rostov,
Ekaterinoslav, Minsk, Simferopol.
The events of those years in Russia, when there were pogroms, repression
and the flight of Jews from the devastated areas, inspired artist
to write a few paintings on the situation of Jews in the country.
The picture is painted in 1905-1907.

Kalyayev hurls a bomb into the carriage of the Grand Duke

4(February 17, new), 1905, in the territory of
The Moscow Kremlin militant socialist-revolutionary Ivan by Kulaevym
he was killed by the Governor-General, younger brother of the late
Alexander III, the uncle of Emperor Nicholas II,
Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich Romanov.

The attack of the peasants on the manor house in 1905.

After workers went to fight the peasants.

margins. The rebels attacked the manor and captured

In may-June 1905 was 800 peasant uprisings.
In the summer of 1905 was formed the all-Russian peasant Union -
the first political organization of the peasants.
Gorelov was one of the favorite students of I. E. Repin.

The painting was done in 1907 and modified in 1911.
Repin paints a picture in their Penates in Kuokkala.
Depicts her characters are intellectuals, public
leaders, students, artists, and students.
Draws a crowd, which carries the revolutionary with a broken

boys and girls - that wove our revolution,

Universal railway strike in 1905.

20 October 1905 the Moscow Committee of the RSDLP called
for a General strike on the roads of the Moscow railway
node.
After Moscow the strike movement spread to St. Petersburg,
and then in the other industrial centers of the country.
The strike was held under the slogan of conquest
democracy, freedoms and the overthrow of the autocracy.
Arose Soviets of workers ' deputies, but
in their leadership was dominated by the Mensheviks.
The painting was done in 1925.
