Although the carriage of horses was introduced in Calcutta at the end of the eighteenth century, even then the sailors used to walk on a flock. In fact, after settling in Calcutta, Sahib Mama had acquired two things. A palanquin pressed and another tobacco drink

Saheb used to fight often in the girl's life. It was called 'Dual'. Not only for women, no dispute was resolved through Duel.

Again, a few Hindus were left from this country. Among them, Hindu Stewart (Major General Charles Stewart) is prominent. He used to go to the gymnasium for walking and worshiped the priest Shalgram. There were many Hindu gods and goddesses in his house.

Warren Hastings wrote to a friend in a letter that he wanted to make Kolkata a prominent city in Asia. Maybe he had improved the quality of Kolkata as a city of yours, but most of the Calcutta was improved after that. Among the improvements that took place during his time, the city's wastewater treatment system, introduction of post, setting up of land and property, establishment of banks and insurance companies, the formation of the Sodagari office, the introduction of cricket and horse racing, the introduction of horse carts, theater installation, Newspaper circulation, the creation of the Axiatical Society and Bangla font for practicing East Asia . In the meantime, the formation of the Bengali alphabet made the way for the nineteenth-century renaissance. In the next chapter we discuss about the formation of Bangla font and the spread of the printing press. For more details on other topics, read my 'Calcutta: Full History' book. You can take a look.
