Nicknamed "The Living Skeleton"

This man, who received the artistic nickname "The Living Skeleton", was no different from his peers before the age of 12. But then he began to lose weight rapidly, and this weight loss accompanied Isaac until his death (in principle, leanness and became the cause of death). In 1865, Sprague was offered a job in the circus as "The Living Skeleton" or "The Thinnest Man". The following year, Barnum offered him a job in his newly opened American museum, and paid fairly well for those times - $ 80 per week.

Personal life, despite the thinness, he had an active - in 1868 Sprag married Tamara Moore, and a little later they had three absolutely healthy sons. All of Isaac's life was pursued by financial problems, according to some sources in connection with his addiction to gambling. His physical condition also prevented him from finding a job outside the circus, so he continued to speak almost until his death.

At the age of 44 years, with an increase of 1.67 meters, his weight was only 19.5 kilograms. His health was in such poor condition that he often wore milk in a flask on his neck, from time to time drinking it out, so as not to faint from weakness. Isaac died of asphyxiation on January 5, 1887, in poverty, in Chicago, Illinois.
