Good history.

I was just watching an episode of HBO's Rome earlier today when they talked about Sulla's men and "blood running in the street".

Civil wars are usually the bloodiest of wars.

And Marius purges were said to be even more bloody than the ones of Sulla! Go figure!

I wouldn't be surprised if the writers didn't just generalize the period ;)

Tough to sum up all those centuries, characters, battle in a 50 mins episode! Imagine in a Steemit article ! :D

they took 2 seasons to cover Julius and Augustus. fictionalized, of course, but a great show regardles. a lot of the (fictionalized) POV comes from two centurions mentioned in Commentaries

yep, Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus. Still the best role of Ray Stevenson!
