Choices
When Arizona was settle with newcomers from the east they brought commerce with them. There were not many choices as transportation had many hazards. With the railroads and mail-order buyers were given choices. It seems we are going backwards. I heard that Albertson's Grocery has bought out Safeway. I shopped today at Safeway Close Out Sale for bargains, as items were 50% off. As one big corporation gobbles up another the people have fewer and fewer choices. It so reminded me of that funny little poem by Eugene Field "The Duel" and even the armies of the Roman empire that fought each other to put their man on the thrown. In the end no one wins
