Hi Steemians,

every day I will try to provide the most important events of the day a hundred years ago. If I forgot something that should be mentioned, let me know. Have a great day.

08/12/1919

  • In Berlin, a two-day conference of the Catholic Women's League and the Caritas starts. In the presence of the President of the Weimar National Assembly and the center politician, Konstantin Fehrenbach and the center chairman Karl Trimbornstraße delegates advise pending laws for film control and to combat prostitution.

  • The French magazine "Littérature" organized in the Paris Palais des Fêtes a Dada manifestation under the title "Premier Vendredi de Littérature - matinée poétique". The event triggers a scandal.
